“My family and I have been using Lund’s since I can remember. He’s an honest mechanic and won’t recommend any unnecessary work. Recently I had my car inspected for state safety and emissions at another shop. Even though my car passed inspection, this other shop said my brakes needed to be replaced ASAP. I took my car to Lund’s, and Gene told me that my brakes were fine. I went from a $300 fix to $0. Best mechanic in town!” – Christen, May 2014

“The owner is very honest and has a great shop. Great service and always treated fair. He does not have nice waiting room or professionally dressed. However he has the most equipped shop and best engine man in the business He just did his 13 engine for my family. My dad went to him my older sisters now me. Also he tells it like it is, You may not like what hes says always and hes a blunt man no razzle dassle man But he’s the best in business ” – online review, January 2013

“I brought him my overheated Jeep on Super Bowl Sunday, but he took the time to discuss exactly what happened, what I had done to try and fix it already and what he thought the problem was. Best service I’ve ever had by a mechanic. We’ve been back twice with our other car since then. Prices are consistently in line or lower than other shops, and he gets the job done as promised. ” – online review, June 2011

“This shop primarly specializes in engine rebuilding and machine work, it is also one of the few shops owning a crank grinder. The drawbacks seen by some customers are that the owner/mechanic is so honest some see him as rude but he won’t lie about what’s really wrong with the vehicle. If you need engine work done he’s got the best reputation in St. Charles county but be prepared that after 25 years in the business he usually has a waiting list of 2-3 weeks to get a vehicle in the door and does not furnish engines only rebuilds what the vehicle comes in the door with.” – online review, January 1999
